In my previous employment I spent 7 years working and living from hotels around Europe. I have a wide and varied understanding of what makes a good hotel. This ranks as one of the best in my book :-) It's the best compliment I can give. Granted, it was only one night, but first impressions count! Having a chef on standby for the morning breakfast was a nice touch. He made great omelettes :-) We chose this hotel instead of fighting the Helsinki City Centre traffic. With excellent travel connections, why pay extra for an inner city hotel? The airport is modern and has eating facilities 24/7. My wife and I will definitely stay again!

The entrance to the hotel is connected to the airport but after passport control. It is not a transit hotel as such. The entrance is connected to the shopping center / departure area. Check in is on the second floor. Rooms are soundproofed. Ask for a room overlooking the runway. Breakfast was excellent. If you are an older person, ask for a room with a shower not a bathtub. It is a very large hotel so expect to walk a fair bit if your room is not near the elevator. The bed was super comfortable. On the whole Clarion deserved it's 10 out of ten.

we stayed thrice in about 2 and half weeks of our travel across the area.. the hotel is literally right in the terminal.. feels very very new, very very well maintained... the train station is right below.. and staff is awesome.. the breakfast was really really good.. Their top floor restaurant/bar was a bit of a downer.. while it has awesome views if you are a airplane buff, but the food options are ridiculously limited and prices seem to be a bit impractical.. but there are so many food options in the terminal which is less than 2 minutes walk from your room, it didn't really matter.. (PS: the bar in the terminal had more options and was more reasonable)

Location is extremely good for anyone traveling through Helsinki Vantaa. We stayed a night here because we had an early morning flight the next day. The room had good views of planes coming and going however the extra pieces of glass on the windows, maybe for looks and/or sound insulation purposes, really limit the view quite a bit. Staff was friendly and took care of a problem with our room instantly. Breakfast was really nice with good selection and the area was big and finding a peaceful spot to enjoy our breakfast was easy.

I have to say the Clarion Hotel Helsinki Airport really exceeded my expectations on every level. The room felt like something out of a five-star hotel, beautiful design, top notch cleanliness, and all the amenities were just perfect. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient, just a breeze to get to from the terminal. Everything was smooth from check-in to check-out. Honestly, a perfect 10 out of 10.

It was easy to reach from the airport terminal and also easy to get to the railway station. The beds were extremely comfortable and the aircon worked well. WiFi was good. The bathroom was well designed and well equipped. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with a lot of choice. All staff we came across were kind and helpful. I would stay again.

Walk through from the baggage belt to the hotel without stepping out into the street, with very good directions inside the airport too. Very large buffet breakfast spread but caters to a huge churn of customers so it's a bit messy. But the rooftop restaurant has awesome ambience, great staff, good views of the tarmac (from the window seats), decent local tap beer and a small a la carte selection. Could even do a whirlwind city walk around at night in 2 hours thanks to the metro also being right next to the hotel (again no stepping outdoors!) and the 25 minute ride.

We were blown away by the attention to detail. A Swedish wool throw blanket on the bed, two different pillow options for the bedding, Rituals products in the bathroom, shoe-horn, bottle-opener, the list goes on. The whole hotel is beautiful and the finishes are all high-end creating a true sense of luxury. The value-for-money is excellent and the location could not be better in relation to the airport. We used the wellness facility as well and also found it to be lovely. Breakfast is in a modern and stylish room with plenty of options. The rooftop restaurant is a must. Offering both delicious food and stunning views. Watching planes take off and land while the sun sets and you sip your prosecco is an excellent way to spend the final hours of your trip. During all interactions staff were professional, helpful and friendly.

I had a wonderful stay at the Clarion Hotel Helsinki Airport and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling through the area. The rooms are modern, clean, and incredibly comfortable - the beds were some of the comfiest I’ve slept in! I especially appreciated the delicious breakfast buffet which offered a great variety of fresh and tasty options to start the day right. One of the highlights of my stay was the fantastic view from my room - I could see the runway and watch planes on the tarmac, which made my airport stay surprisingly enjoyable. Due to a flight cancellation, I ended up staying an extra night, and the hotel made an unexpected situation feel easy and stress-free. The staff were helpful and welcoming, and the convenient location right next to the airport made everything smooth. All in all, a great experience - I will definitely choose Clarion again!
