Clarion Hotel Helsinki Airport

Location is extremely good for anyone traveling through Helsinki Vantaa. We stayed a night here because we had an early morning flight the next day. The room had good views of planes coming and going however the extra pieces of glass on the windows, maybe for looks and/or sound insulation purposes, really limit the view quite a bit. Staff was friendly and took care of a problem with our room instantly. Breakfast was really nice with good selection and the area was big and finding a peaceful spot to enjoy our breakfast was easy.

Walk through from the baggage belt to the hotel without stepping out into the street, with very good directions inside the airport too. Very large buffet breakfast spread but caters to a huge churn of customers so it's a bit messy. But the rooftop restaurant has awesome ambience, great staff, good views of the tarmac (from the window seats), decent local tap beer and a small a la carte selection. Could even do a whirlwind city walk around at night in 2 hours thanks to the metro also being right next to the hotel (again no stepping outdoors!) and the 25 minute ride.

We were blown away by the attention to detail. A Swedish wool throw blanket on the bed, two different pillow options for the bedding, Rituals products in the bathroom, shoe-horn, bottle-opener, the list goes on. The whole hotel is beautiful and the finishes are all high-end creating a true sense of luxury. The value-for-money is excellent and the location could not be better in relation to the airport. We used the wellness facility as well and also found it to be lovely. Breakfast is in a modern and stylish room with plenty of options. The rooftop restaurant is a must. Offering both delicious food and stunning views. Watching planes take off and land while the sun sets and you sip your prosecco is an excellent way to spend the final hours of your trip. During all interactions staff were professional, helpful and friendly.

Just perfect location, you have an inside walkway to the airport. Shops, restaurants just at your doorstep. Modern, new, clean. Excellent breakfast, however no sweet choices at all (e.g. pastries) apart from pain au chocolats. Egg station, fresh fruits, smoothies and the normal stuff. Coffee tasted bitter but I have found it nearly impossible to get good coffee at finnish hotels. At least there was a bean to cup machine, not only filter coffee. Also the gym was spacious with modern equiptment, however it was located in their sister hotel (comfort) that you can access via one of the floors. Didn't get to try their spa section - it must be booked in advance, has couple saunas and an outdoor jacuzzi and you can spend 1.5 hours there, think it's about 18 euros / person for hotel guests.

A very new and modern hotel that is very easy accessible from the train station and airport. The standard room was sufficient for a one night stay. The breakfast was very generous and with lots of varieties.
